A rear extension is a common project but upon meeting this client it soon became apparent that a common extension was not what they were after.  The brief was to create that wow entertaining space for family and friends.  A space that brings the outside inside and that links the house with garden in a light modern way.  Hewitt&Carr set about creating just the space with a feature glazed gable, bi-fold doors and log burner.  It was an extension so far removed from a conservatory but the result still enabled that interaction between the spaces.  Carried out under a notification of a proposed larger home extension application to the local planning authority we were able to make use of the additional permitted development regulations to get a superior rear extension that will wow anybody that visits it.
