Few buildings deserved a new lease of life more than this former café in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. Located in Market Lane off one of the main areas of public realm, this building had become vacant, yet had so much potential.Hewitt & Carr were approached by an investor, looking to begin undergoing projects in the City, and were asked to look at a full renovation and conversion of the upper floor into a number of self-contained living accommodation. It was our aim to create City Centre Loft Living accommodation in Stoke-on-Trent. The creation of the two units with their lofty ceiling heights, glazed ridge details and open plan living has been a great success.
Hewitt & Carr have been a pleasure to work with over the last two years since commencing projects in Stoke on Trent.
There have been many times when I felt that not only are they on board with design and planning, but they are treating the project as though it is their own.
Requests are always dealt with promptly and even if there are delays to expected turnaround, I soon realise that they are still actively working in the background to achieve the end result required. I look forward to working with them in the years to come including my forthcoming project.
